Moorpark, CA, (30 July 2015) – Why We Ride, the most award winning motorcycle film and M1GP American Mini Motorcycle Road Racing Association, the premier mini-gp racing series in the USA, unite with common goals of positively growing awareness of motorcycle riding as an affordable, safe and family friendly pastime, as well as growing the sport of motorcycle racing for kids and adults.
The M1GP24 Hour Super Endurance Motorcycle Charity Race will kickoff this great partnership on September 19th – 20th at Willow Springs International Raceway Kart Track. The event will start at noon with the goal of completing the most laps in 24 hours. It will feature a Le Mans start with a live taiko drum performance on Saturday at noon and special lighting for the track. Each team is raising funds for the charity of their choice including Riders for Health, Ride for Kids (Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation), Roadracing World Air Fence Fund, and more.
“This is a very unique event and it really hit home for us” says James Walker, Producer of Why We Ride. “We attended some of their riding clinics and love the fact that they are for adults, kids and they even have one just for women which is one of the fastest growing groups in motorcycling.”
Bryan H. Carroll, Producer/Director of Why We Ride commented that “once I heard about the 24hour charity race we wanted to be a part of it. When you can align learning to ride, having fun with friends and families and raising money for the charity of your choice? That’s what the Why We Ride community and brand are all about.”
Team Jedi Knights, one of the endurance teams entering the M1GP24 consists of racers of all ages – veterans and new, including Ethan Carroll, son of Bryan Carroll. The team will be raising funds and awareness for Ride for Kids – The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
“I’m excited about the partnership between M1GP and Why We Ride. I think it’s a good fit since both brands are family-friendly and focus on the positive aspects and growth of the motorcycling community and culture.” – Young Lee, M1GP
