Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s world famous Pagoda tower will once again serve as the backdrop during this year’s Pagoda Show, a Why We Ride sponsored exhibition showcasing 200 fan-owned motorcycles as part of the Indianapolis round of the 2014 MotoGP Championship.
Fans participating in the show will have the opportunity to show their bikes in front of the famous Pagoda, and meet the creators and stars of Why We Ride along with the editors of Cycle World, Motorcyclist and Sport Rider Magazine at the famous Moon Dog Tavern during a special meet and greet event on Thursday, August 7th. they will also receive a free gift bag containing a copy of Why We Ride and other great gifts from show sponsors. Priority parking right next to the Pagoda for all three days of the race is also included in the purchase of a Pagoda Show ticket.
The Pagoda Show will feature seven classes, one for motorcycles constructed in 1949 and earlier, one for each decade up to 1999, and a final class for motorcycles constructed 2000 and later. The winning bike in each class and the overall best of show will be determined by a panel of judges after the race on Sunday. An award will be granted for each bike that best represents the time period in which it was built.
Tickets for the 2014 Pagoda Show are on sale now for just $25. The show is open to all riders and any motorcycle, so if you’d like to participate be sure to purchase your ticket before August 1st! Pagoda Show tickets do not include entry to the race, and must be purchased in addition to a three day MotoGP ticket.
